Clarification of the Centromere Modality
The kinetochore is an essential structure for accurate chromosome segregation. To establish the kinetochore multiple proteins are regulated on the centromeric chromatin by a specific manner, which is called “centromere modality”. To understand “centromere modality” we focus on structural dynamics of kinetochore proteins. We try to clarify how the structural dynamics occurs and elucidate its biological significance.
